“Rural Hideaway” is awarded the Silver Medal

Posted on

I have been doubly blessed in 2018. I recently won the Silver Medal in the 27th Annual Oil Painters of America National Juried Show hosted by the Steamboat Art Museum in Steamboat Springs, CO., now I am honored to say I again won the Silver Medal, this time in the Oil Painters of America Western Regional Competition, held in Boulder, CO. There’s silver in the mountains of Colorado and I didn’t even realize it.

Anyway, a big thank you to award judge, Mike Desatnick, and to Mary Williams Fine Art for hosting the show; I’m very appreciative.

…and to top it off, the painting sold. Here’s a picture of the painting in the show, sent to me by artist, Jane Hunt. By the way, she won the Landscape Award of Excellence. (Click images to enlarge)
