I’m pleased and honored to announce that I have received two Honorable Mentions in the 13th International Art Renewal Center Salon Competition. I entered four paintings. Two were selected as Finalists, and two received Honorable Mention.
This immensely competitive competition had a total of 3750 entries from 69 countries. Of these, 28% were named Finalists. Artists competed in nine categories: Figurative, Portraiture, Imaginative Realism, Landscape, Plein Air, Animals, Sculpture, Drawing, and Still Life. From the Finalists in each category, three were juried as the best and then there were a handful of Honorable Mentions awarded.
The Landscape Category had 458 entries and 142 Finalists.
Thank you to the four awarding judges in the Landscape Category: Jean Stern, Tim Newton, Kara Lysandra Ross, and Dr. Vern Swanson.
