The dominant hue of this painting is red orange. Almost every spot on this canvas has some red orange in it…mixed with alizarin crimson and cadmium yellow medium. Maintaining that dominant hue throughout will make for a harmonious painting. I mention in this video using a #18 brush for the block-in. My eyes failed me, it’s a #16.
