“Be Still My Soul” takes the silver

Posted on

My painting “Be Still My Soul” – 30″ x 40″ – Oil – took the Silver Medal at the 27th Annual Oil Painters of America National Show. I’ve been in the show several times but have also been rejected several times; it’s a very competitive show. There were over 2000 entries, about 10 percent of those made it into the show. I am honored and blessed to receive such recognition for this work. Thank you to Oil Painter of America, and awarding juror, Craig Tennant.

I prepared the following video to share the motivation behind, and the process involved in creating this piece. Thank you to all that have sent such kind congratulatory notes. They have been a great encouragement.
